Wolves had been on the brink of dropping into the Premier League's bottom three before Diego Costa scored from 12 yards to give them an important win against Brentford.

California wildlife officials are already making preparations for a potential return of gray wolves to California, with cattle killing and car collisions as major concerns. Conservation groups have filed a petition listing them as endangered which would necessitate a recovery plan for their populations.
Wolves 2-0 Middlesbrough

Wolves ended their long period of indecision with a much-needed victory over Middlesbrough on Wednesday, drawing closer to promotion. Wolves won their home match for the first time since 1967 - and following victories for Cardiff and Fulham too, it seems impossible that Nuno Espirito Santo's side have lost their way in the Premier League.

Molineux were an absolute joy to watch and demonstrated why they remain seventh in the table with an exhilarating first half performance. Dicko contributed as well, but Sako truly lit up the stadium when he set up one goal for Dicko before scoring himself a few minutes later for an early lead 2-0 lead with 17 minutes to play.

Costa then took over for Sako who had sustained an injury and scored with an unstoppable finish, giving Wolves three vital points. After missing two games due to hamstring trouble, Costa will return for their game against Bournemouth next week.

Wolves 2-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Wolves recorded an important victory in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday thanks to two second half goals from Leo Bonatini and Helder Costa, under Nuno Espirito Santo who selected an unchanged side against an opposition side which had recently fired coach Jos Luhukay following last week's defeat against Millwall.

First half chances were limited on both sides, with Wednesday coming close to taking an early lead when David Jones' free kick deflected off John Ruddy after 70 seconds. Wolves soon made a statement in the second half through Adama Traore setting up a goal in 52nd minute by turning one player before beating another player.

Traore's tireless running at opponents eventually paid dividends less than one minute later when he surged towards the byline and cut back for Bonatini, who shot home from 15 yards - his first goal in league action since December and an encouraging sign for Nuno who has already won three matches upon returning to Molineux.

Wolves 2-0 Bournemouth

Nuno Espirito Santo's side claimed an essential victory thanks to an Ivan Cavaleiro late second goal and Helder Costa's first for Wolves. Nuno Espirito Santo's men now lie seventh with 25 points while Bournemouth are 11th on 23.

Raul Jimenez secured a one-goal lead for Wolves going into halftime when he tapped in Diogo Jota's deflected shot, however in the second half it was the Cherries who threatened, with Junior Stanislas' free kick ricocheting off Rui Patricio's left-hand post and going wide of Rui Patricio's goalpost.

But Wolves were more deserving of their goal in the 12th minute as Jimenez beat keeper Begovic and slotted home for an unlikely goal against Bournemouth - his first in 14 games since recovering from a horrifying ankle injury and also his maiden strike against them!

Wolves 2-0 Chelsea

Matheus Nunes scored an eye-catching strike to give Wolves a critical win against Chelsea and lift them out of relegation trouble. His long-range effort from 31 minutes saw Wolves create an advantage of four points over Chelsea.

Though Chelsea won, interim manager Frank Lampard's first game as interim boss did not see them perform to their potential. He made seven changes from Wednesday's win against AC Milan.

Wolves started the second half with the intention of exerting pressure on Chelsea. Their efforts eventually bore fruit when they scored their second goal of the night.

Kai Havertz headed Mason Mount's amazing cross home just before halftime to give Wolves the lead. However, just a minute into added time Vitinha played Neto down the left channel before the Brazilian raced through on goal with ease and fired past Mendy and into the bottom corner for equalizer.
